Our 12 inch diameter check valve replacement went well using the SMP valve out flange spreading tool. The guys reported that job was much safer, easier, and quicker. I am not not even sure how long this would have taken without this swell tool since the valve was in between a header and mounted pump. We were also concerned that the adjacent plug valve was going to present an issue due to it not having normal flange but everything went great!

The customer service and website "ease of navigation" is great as well.

The water department I work for purchased the Valve out water kit to help changing out a few 10-inch mag meters and other piping. We were not entirely sure it would work but wanted a safer easier way to change piping. It worked like a charm and what would have been a day job to a 2-hour job and half of that was figuring out how all the parts went together. I will be showing off the tools to other utilities and the contractors that work on our bigger projects. Tools showed up quickly and they were great to deal with.

The SMP Valve out is an Excellent tool (Highly Recommend).
We had 3 regulators to replace in Vicksburg Ms in August, 108 degrees (40 degress wouldn't have been cool enough for as hard as we worked that day) The job was supposed to take about 5 hrs with 2 guys. The regulators were between two 10" headers about 8' apart. The gas could not be shut off so couldn't take all 3 regs out at the same time to allow headers to be spread apart. It ended up taking 3 big guys 6 hrs to replace 1 of the regulators using pry bars & wedges & nearly destroying the gaskets trying to get it put together. Lucky it didn't leak when done. We put off doing the other 2 & ordered the Valve Out on the way home. I had used one before at a power plant with a different employer. We went back a week later & THE Valve Out allowed the original 2 guys to replace the other 2 regulators in 2 hrs including tubing and setting pressures. Much safer too I'll add. Less chance of smashed fingers from wedges slipping out while repositioning wedges to get gaskets in place. This tool has saved much time & effort on many jobs since that day.
I appreciate SMP, I've talked to them on phone a couple of times & they have always been willing to answer questions.

Mark, Tyler, & Kyle at SMP define the notion of customer service. On more than a few occasions these guys have stayed well after closing just to package my 5pm last minute order and then personally deliver it to UPS to ensure shipment. My $50 orders are treated as if the amount had 3 more zeros behind it. Much like the people, I've had nothing but great experiences with their products, some of which are essential in industrial maintenance. Do yourself a favor and go see these guys

One hell of an experience !!! Great staff super helpful….
